Traces: A heartfelt album that combines 80s pop sensibilities with electronic elements.

TRACES is the first album by Italian electro pop music artist Angelo Bavaro Producer.

The compilation album includes nine singles released from 2013 till 2016 and new song “The Fight” (the opening track), an electro-pop tune which recalls the fantastic 80s.

A pulsating rhythm is present in the second track “Break the Dancefloor“ (the most famous song of the artist), which introduces “The More You Get” (the third track of the album), a mix of dark sounds Depeche Mode-style and a refrain that sticks in your head. 

More than other songs of this album, “Into My mind” has a pop sound, but it is also unusual. The piano (intentionally dissonant) and the lyrics of the song talk about Angelo’s intention to enter into the labyrinth of our minds.

With the melancholic ballad “Between Me and You” we are halfway through the album. It represents the right preface for “Knocking at the Door”, a sophisticated tune in which electronic strings and a rude synth are dominant.

The desire to dance resumes through “Bonjour Mon Amour”, an electro dance piece that relies entirely on drums, bass, synth and voice modulations. The track, in fact, has deliberately few lyrics, as what matters is the rhythm, given by a synth which changes in intensity.

The album concludes with “No Time for That”, “It’s Just Not On” and “All I Do Tonight”, the first three songs created by the artist. These pieces, along with “Knocking at the Door”, contain a vocal track that has been completely or partially modified.

With the album TRACES, Angelo wants to leave traces in the lives of those who listen, mixing emotion and grit. He draws from the past, but has an eye towards the future.

TRACES è il primo album di Angelo Bavaro Producer, progetto italiano di musica electro pop.

L’album compilation include nove singoli rilasciati dal 2013 al 2016 e la nuova canzone “The Fight” (la traccia d’apertura), una canzone electro-pop che richiama i fantastici anni 80.

Un ritmo pulsante è presente nella seconda traccia “Break the Dancefloor“ (la canzone più famosa dell’artista), che introduce “The More You Get” (la terza traccia dell’album), un mix di suoni dark stile Depeche Mode e un ritornello che rimane in testa. 

Più di altre canzoni di questo album, “Into My mind” ha un sound pop, ma è anche insolita. Il piano (intenzionalmente dissonante) e i testi della canzone parlano dell’intenzione di Angelo di entrare nel labirinto delle nostre menti.

Con la ballata malinconica “Between Me and You” siamo a metà dell’album. Essa rappresenta la giusta prefazione per “Knocking at the Door”, un pezzo sofisticato in cui sono dominanti degli archi elettronici e un brusco sintetizzatore.

Il desiderio di ballare riprende attraverso “Bonjour Mon Amour”, un pezzo electro dance che si basa completamente su batterie, basso, sintetizzatore e modulazioni di voce. La traccia, infatti, ha volutamente pochi testi, poiché ciò che conta è il ritmo, dato da un sintetizzatore che cambia d’intensità.

L’album termina con “No Time for That”, “It’s Just Not On” e “All I Do Tonight”, le prime canzoni create dall’artista. Questi pezzi, insieme a “Knocking at the Door”, contengono una traccia vocale che è stata completamente o parzialmente modificata.

Con l’album TRACES, Angelo vuole lasciare delle tracce nelle vite di coloro che ascoltano, mescolando emozione e grinta. Egli trae dal passato, ma ha un occhio rivolto al futuro.
